Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association (CATLA)

Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association (CATLA) is a nonprofit bar group for plaintiff trial attorneys in the Austin, Texas region. Founded in 1990, the organization serves lawyers practicing in Travis County, Williamson County, and the surrounding Capital Area.

Members get monthly CLE luncheons, networking happy hours, a mentor program, and access to a shared file bank of depositions and legal documents. CATLA also runs a political action committee and community service projects.

The mission centers on protecting the public's right to access the courts and the civil jury system. Annual membership is open to practicing trial lawyers, paralegals, and law students.
