Above the Law is a leading legal news website covering law firms, law schools, and the legal profession. David Lat, a former federal prosecutor, founded the site in 2006. It has since grown into one of the largest legal media outlets in the country, drawing over 1.5 million monthly visitors.

The editorial team includes lawyers-turned-writers who cover Biglaw compensation, AI in legal practice, career advice, and judicial news. ATL also publishes annual law school rankings and runs a legal job board. The site earned a spot in the ABA Journal's Blawg 100 Hall of Fame in 2012.
