The JDCA Alliance

From its inception, the JDCA has endeavored to be a completely unique, independent organization whose purpose is to unite the donors and the members of the diabetes community who want to see a cure for type 1. As per our name, we want to create a real Alliance that will have a strong voice and be able to put pressure on the diabetes organizations to adapt a more focused and driven search for a cure.
We love hearing from people who comment on our reports and our set beliefs, such as our target to facilitate a type 1 diabetes cure by 2025, and our definition of a Practical Cure, but we also want to make sure we are on the right track when it comes to building up our alliance. We have received a lot of positive feedback from people, and we want to encourage everyone who visits our website and feels that they want their voices heard to also join our movement.
History is filled with examples where people or a group were stronger united rather than alone or fractured. The people in power rarely listen to scattered voices. But, if we show the world and diabetes research/charitable community that the donors and diabetes community is united on these issues and expects positive change and progress toward a cure, they will have to listen. After all, many of the major foundations depend on support from donors and raise sizable funds through special events and fundraising each year. Let’s unite and encourage this money to go toward a Practical Cure by 2025.
But building a community starts with individuals. We need you to join the Alliance and help us share JDCA findings and demand Practical Cure research progress.
