When I read the publisher’s blurb for Someone Else’s Life by Katie Dale, I couldn’t resist requesting an advance reader’s copy. It sounded like a unique concept for a YA novel. After reading it, I now know it puts the spotlight on a little known illness. Like a lot of YA novels, Someone Else’s Life is going to appeal to people of all ages.
At seventeen years old, Rosie has had less than a rosy life in many ways. On the night she was born, her father was killed in an accident on his way to the hospital. That means that for her whole life, it’s just been her mom and her, their neighbor and her mom’s best friend “Aunt” Sarah, and Rosie’s grandmother who lives nearby.
