Lately there is a lot of information running through the Internet regarding the energy impact of our daily use of laptop computers. In this context was developed the PlantBook project, an ecological laptop computer that keeps on surprising the whole world.
Its design is elegant and attractive, and its production includes a wise combination of organic and artificial materials. A cilinder holds the screen and the keyboard, so that these can be rolled and take the shape of a bamboo trunk. However, the most surprising feature of this ecological gadget is that PlantBook “feeds” in exactly the same way as plants: through the photosynthesis process. How?
The battery is charged by introducing the rolled cilinder ina glass of water. While it consumes the liquid, a small incorporated panel of organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) separates the hydrogen from the oxygen using an electrolysis system.
