Neil Leslie Diamondis an American singer-songwriter and a successful music performer and third most successful Adult Contemporary artist ever. Neil Diamond scored a number of hits worldwide in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, to a Jewish family. His father, Akeeba Diamond, was a dry-goods merchant. Neil Diamond grew up in several homes in Brooklyn, attending Abraham Lincoln High School where he Received High School Dimploma. He attended NYU on a fencing scholarship and remained a member of fencing team.  Neil Diamond currently has 37 top 40 hits. He has sold 75 million albums world-wide. His first Studios Album The Feel of Neil Diamond released in 1966, second Just for You released in 1967, Velvet Gloves and Spit in 1968, Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show IN 1969, Tap Root Manuscript in 1970, Stones in 1971, Moods in 1972, Serenade in 1974, Beautiful Noise in 1976, I'm Glad You're Here With Me Tonight in 1977, You Don't Bring Me Flowers in 1978, On the Way to the Sky in 1981, Heartlight in 1982, Headed for the Future in 1986, Lovescape in 1991, Up On The Roof: Songs From The Brill Building in 1993, The Movie Album: As Time Goes By in 1998, Three Chord Opera in 2001, 12 Songs in 2005, Home Before Dark in 2008, A Cherry Cherry Christmas in 2009 and Dreams Album released in 2010. In 2008 Neil Diamond scored his first ever Billboard number one album with “Home Before Dark”, the album also became his first studio album to get to number one in the UK. Neil Diamond was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011.
