Exfoliating (anti acne recipe)
Ever wonder what in that expensive acne cream you buy at the drug store. It is the same ingredient used in mild chemical peels. Salicylic acid. That just happens to be the active ingredient in asprin. I get my asprin at the dollar store and that means for pennies a piece you have the active ingredient also used to treat a lot of skin conditions. Salicylic acid also has anti itch properties. The anti-inflammatory properties of witch hazel and the carrier properties of olive oil make this an easy to make all around must have for your medicine chest.
1 asprin crushed
1 tbs Witch Hazel
1 tbs Olive Oil
Mix together and apply to face. Leave on for 20 minutes and wash off. Salicylic acid found in asprin is a main ingredient in non-prescription anti-acneproducts at concentrations from 0.5 - 2%. Salicylic acid is also found in the high end mild chemical peels often costing over $60 a bottle.
