If I knew then.....what I know now!

The last time you flipped the switch for the electricity did it come on? I wonder what it would have been like to grow up in the Pennsylvania Dutch country where there was little dependency on power and a greater need for natural resources. I am sure there were a few people that wished they could use a generator so they could enjoy some of the finer things in life, although they are probably better off without it.
In my case, I did not grow up in an environment where I had to do without a steady supply of electricity, so although it was a third world country and there was a few unwanted interruptions in the power supply, there was great deal of dependency in electricity. In my experience, these outages can affect us to greater levels as we become more dependent on it. We depend on our electrical supply for almost everything in our lives, maybe we should seriously start thinking about an alternate plan.
I have worked for a few companies in my lifetime but until I decided to work for myself I had no idea what the word hosting meant. As a website designer, I spend a lot of time trying to make sure that my customers arrive at a site that is casual and full of content. Operating our own business is one thing but it is just as important to understand what our readers are looking for as it is to find a company that provides us with reliable servers.
The more I learn about computers, the more I realize that it does not just take a good platform to facilitate a smoothly operating website, there are a host of other requirements and the more we work on our website, the closer we get to understanding the true extent of what we need. Before committing to a platform (or a web host) you should check out a variety of possibilities available to you and as you do this you will see how best to make your web presence the best there is.
