Can we survive without social networking

With the popularity of some social networking companies, is there any wonder that others would like to get into the game. This venue, after all, is one where millions of people congregate on a daily basis, at all times of the day or night. Facebook has so far been the only company that has managed to attract the majority of audiences and although they are not without some controversy, they are still managing to lead the pack. Each day there comes an invitation by someone to accept a friend request, making the entire experience an interesting one. Due to its worldwide recognition, it is not surprising to receive a friend invitation from someone you have not heard from in awhile and depending on whether you were still talking to them when you lost contact, you will decide whether to accept or blow them off.
Interacting with others is an important part of any society and unless you are living under a rock or you just don't like the thought of communicating with others, there is an increased interest in taking part in social networking. While we may not always show an interest in whats occurring in the lives of some of our friends, there is a certain excitement in knowing that you are up to date with whats going on in the lives of your friends and family, halfway around the world. To socialize with others in whatever networking tool you choose is an important activity in our lives, unless of course we lose sense of reality and end up with more followers or friends than there are minutes in the day. There are some people (like myself) that have competition for head honcho in the social networking business, I guess we will have to wait and see how it all turns out.
