According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, many of the fastest growing jobs in the U.S. don't require a four-year degree

The top fastest growing jobs for high school grades or fastest growing jobs without a college degree are:

1. The fastest growing is a personal care aide, which is projected to grow 70.5 percent by 2020. The average personal care aide salary is $19,640 a year.

2. Other fast growing jobs for high school grads include carpenters, plumbers and stonemasons.  For these, search your area for a trade or apprentice school (some are part of community colleges).

One career, however that does require a four-year degree is biomedical engineering, which is the third fastest growing. It is estimated to increase 61.7 percent and has an average salary of $81,540.
