With 40 per cent of the people aged 65 and over living alone, many find themselves lonely as well. It is a growing concern as the baby boomer generation ages and this disturbing statistic grows larger. What is to be done to battle loneliness? The Sunday Night Blog shines a light on this issue and offers a solution: http://rjptalk.wordpress.com/2013/02/10/being-alone/ It would seem that in the super connected, social media driven world that people could avoid lonliness easily enough, but that is not the case. A lack of funds and a lack of good health may isolate some from the modern world. In the mobile society in which we live, friends and family may be many miles away.
As a follow up to this article, the Sunday Night story also found its way to You Tube where the style of this presentation, with connecting music, can really be presented. The link to that is in the follow up article and here: http://youtu.be/rNipgDSs_9k
