The country is the sixth largest in the world and because of its large size, there are many climatic regions. It depends on you to choose which area you prefer to visit, although each one of them has its own characteristics. Fortunately or not, there is no extreme climate. The winters in Australia occur from June to August and in the southern part of the country, they can be freezing sometimes. The summer season starts in December and ends in February, and it is pretty warm.
One of the animals Australia is popular for, is the koala. It can be seen mostly in the coastal regions, where the climate is wet, because they live in moisture areas. But you cannot expect to find a koala in Tasmania or in the western part of the country. Curious fact about this animal is that it looks like the wombat – another interesting mammal that could be seen only in Australia. The wombat is 1 metre long and it usually lives in the forests in Tasmania and the eastern part of the country where it eats roots and herbs.
There are many unique animals in Australia and it is very hard to see them all, but the kangaroo is a must. It is a national symbol and many organizations use it as an emblem. There are four known types of kangaroo, as they occupy different territories. Almost everywhere in the country can be seen the Red Kangaroo. The Eastern Grey and the Western Grey could be seen respectively in the eastern  and the western part of Australia. And the Antilopine kangaroo lives in the northern region. If you use now some of the cheap calls to Australia, you might be able to make a reservation in the most luxurious hotels in the country.
