Max Nomad is a Graphic Designer, IT Consultant, Author/Blogger and Publisher. His past design and consulting clients include the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs, Atlantic Video/ESPN, the United Way of Richmond, TGIFriday’s, the Racing & Gaming Commission of the Northern Territory (Australia), and Spirit Cruises (nationwide). Having worked with everything from television stations to car dealership chains to ostrich farmers, this diverse mix of clients over the years has given Max the keen ability to immerse himself into a client’s business model, understand its dynamics, and create engaging designs that speak to their customers. As the oldest of three sons born to a School Teacher mother and Navy OS father, Max was raised to appreciate the power of information, particularly anything with creative and educational potential. This resulted in his lifelong romance with Art (since age 7), Computers (since age 11) and Writing (since age 18). It is also the underlying reason behind his turning the BGP website into an experimental portfolio-blog. Along with showcasing new design pieces, he regularly writes and posts RSS syndicated articles on his favorite subjects — Graphic Design, Publishing, Writing, and etc — occasionally including works from "The Midnight Sketches Collection", his literary anthology of published and unpublished poems, Gonzo-style short stories and essays. In unison with his entrepreneurial pursuits, Max considers himself a Philanthropist-in-Training. "Philanthropy without being wealthy is nourishing for the soul and hard on the bank account," he’s said on more than a few occasions. "But waiting until you’re rich is no excuse for not finding some way to make a difference here and now". Staying true to his words, a significant portion of his Creative Services focus on assisting non-profit organizations by helping them build their brand to raise awareness for their causes. |
