Samantha Woods is the founder and owner of Simple Divorce Wisdom Consulting. She has been educating and motivating people for over thirty years. She developed DivorceWisdom.com in 2005 through her personal experiences, much research, counseling and personal interviews.

After twenty-nine years of marriage her husband walked out of their family involved in an affair. She was a soccer, basketball, and baseball mom. She had worked the first twelve years of the marriage putting her husband through college and flight school so she could stay home according to their plans when they ultimately had children. She supported him during his illnesses and encouraged him in his recovery only to find him involved in an affair with another married woman. During the divorce multiple other affairs came to the surface. She had sole custody of their two children. Today they are successful young adults. She has been through their home’s foreclosure, his public verbal attack on their children, his private threats to all three of them, physical and verbal attacks from him toward those he felt were providing help to her as well as his stalking and theft. He served a suspended sentence and probation during their divorce as well.

In addition, she has hosted private seminars, workshops, spoken on several radio shows, written 7 Secrets and created The SDW Checklist, developed her website and blog, and has been featured in various newspapers. She writes a column, Living Wisely…Ask Samantha, and is a contributing author for Single Parent 101 magazine.

Samantha believes there is a purpose in our life. We are here for a reason and if we truly look for it with a humble heart, we will find guidance to withstand the current pain and live a life that does more than exist—we will thrive and succeed.
