I worked in finance for over twenty years and recently was an accredited financial counselor for a nonprofit credit counseling agency where I spoke to thousands of clients, most of whom were women in serious financial trouble after separation, divorce or death of a spouse, because they had no clue how to manage their own money. Consequently I co-authored a book entitled "Women Empowering Themselves: A Financial Survival Guide" to help rectify this situation. I am passionate about promoting financial education for adults in general,and for women in particular and give workshops in addition to writing. My hobby is martial arts; I have black belts in karate and taeknowndo.
