Mr. Turner began practicing at the New York offices of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Brobeck, Pheleger & Harrison LLP where he provided counsel to established clients undergoing business combinations, public corporate financings and venture capital raises.In 2001, Mr. Turner shifted his focus and joined an emerging new media company, which showcased a film exhibition series in New York City. Over the next two years, Mr. Turner would oversee the growth of this series into numerous additional cities, including Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Chicago, Miami and Atlanta. After this successful expansion, Mr. Turner would find his next challenge applying what he learned representing emerging companies in a small boutique law firm, counseling clients on transactional matters, as well as general business issues. It was at this law firm that Mr. Turner first represented a pioneering digital “high-definition” production company. Mr. Turner would later serve for four years as its General Counsel and Vice-President of Business and Legal Affairs. He oversaw both legal and production duties for several feature films, music videos, television pilots and corporate projects before embarking into private practice once more.As an entertainment attorney, Mr. Turner has represented numerous production companies, post-production companies, producers, writers, independent record labels and diverse artists. Mr. Turner's corporate practice areas include mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital finance, public corporate finance, securities law, Internet law, intellectual property and general business and corporate counseling.Mr. Turner graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in Psychology, and was a recipient of the Carl A. Fields Center Leadership Recognition Award. He graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center with a J.D., where Mr. Turner served as Executive Editor of the American Criminal Law Review.
