Nokia's Lumia series made quite an impression on us few months ago and its so might its successors, Lumia 900 & Lumia 610. Nokia's official Blog called Nokia Conversations recently shared with us some features that we might not know about Lumia phones. These features apart from giving you an element of surprise, will help you in many different ways. Let us check out few of them here: Take a photo without unlocking your phone This has been my favourite among others as when it comes to taking pictures, you always have to find the camera icon on your smartphone and if you have a lot of apps installed, it can get fumbling sometimes. You can take a snap on Lumia 900 even when its locked. All you have to do is to press the camera button when screen is dark in locked mode and withing a second, you'll start capturing memories. Use Battery Saver when you need extra battery life Suppose you go on travelling and there appears to be lack of charging facilities for your phone, the first thing that comes to your mind is your phone's battery. If it were some other phone, you'd have to switch off several features one by one and then reduce the amount of battery usage on your phone. But in Lumia 900, you can use Battery Saver option which enables only important features online and temporarily switches off others. You can find this option in settings-> battery-> battery saver. Recall a business phone number by name This can be a smart feature in Lumia phones. Sometimes you might have to call a restaurant or an consultant office or any other business by searching over the Internet. If you'd want to call that office or business a few days back then you might not know its number and will have to search for it again. But on Lumia, the phone automatically archives the business name in the history so when you check your recent calls, you can easily find out the your desired number. There are several other features such as finding out Marketplace apps without loading Marketplace or listening to FM radio or creating group tiles to remain updated to your close ones etc. In short, there's more to Lumia than just meets the eye. source: Nokia Conversations
