Foundations in Medical Interpreting Certification ProgramWe are pleased to announce that we will be offering a training program for medical interpreters as of August 23rd. The course will consist of a 7 week program during which participants will gather on Thursdays for 8 hours of intensive classes. Each day will entail a general session in the morning, held in English, for basic concepts and strategies surrounding the industry; and the afternoons will be spent on language coaching and role-playing. During the afternoons the class will be split up into language specific groups. The course instructor will be selected from the medical field, and the afternoons will be taught by bicultural and experienced interpreters. Applicants must have fluency and literacy in both languages.
