28-year-old US Army Sergeant Mike Knapp, from Overland Park, Kansas, was killed in Afghanistan on Friday 18th May 2012 during combat operations. His family told local news that he was due home on leave in a few days time. This was his third tour of duty to Afghanistan. More information to follow.
