“Feminism asks that women be free to define themselves -- instead of having their identity defined for them, time and again, by their culture and their men.” ~ Susan Faludi Since the 2010 elections, Republicans have mounted an assault on women’s health and freedom that would deny millions of women access to affordable contraception,  life-saving cancer screenings, testing for H.I.V. and other sexually transmitted diseases.   They have cut Head Start programs and  funding that provides nutritional support for millions of newborn babies in struggling families. And this is just the beginning.
