Doesn't it annoy you if a well known blogger keeps on showing the pictures of his new game with his new rig? (or her, but if he's a she, then it really doesn't matter right - as long as her rig is big...). So there's this guy with a heckuva PC, an Intel Core i7 and he keeps on prattling on facebook about how he got a beta invite for the new game Diablo 3 by blizzard. At first I was like, hmmmm, another remake? Bah, I'm too old for these games. Then I was like, what idiot would post his PC specifications on Facebook anyway? Don't be that idiot. So, here's a video of this shitty looking game. I tried looking for the PC system requirements of Diablo 3 and I was a bit annoyed that they needed these: Diablo 3 Minimum System Specifications PC Mac OS Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows 7 (Latest Service Packs) with DirectX 9.0cMac OS X 10.6.8, 10.7.X (Latest Version) Processor Intel Pentium D 2.8 GHz or AMD AthlonTM 64 X2 4400+Intel Core 2 Duo Video NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT or ATI Radeon X1950 Pro or betterNVIDIA GeForce 8600M GTor ATI Radeon HD 2600 or better All Platforms HD Space 12 GB available HD space Memory 1 GB RAM (1.5 GB required for Windows Vista® Windows® 7 users, 2 GB for Mac® users) Drive DVD-ROM drive Internet Broadband Internet connection Display 1024x768 minimum display resolution Diablo 3 Recommended System Specifications PC Mac OS Windows Vista/Windows 7 (Latest Service Packs)Mac OS X 10.7.X (Latest Version) Processor Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or AMD AthlonTM 64 X2 5600+ 2.8 GHzIntel Core 2 Duo Memory 2 GB RAM2 GB RAM Video NVIDIA GeForce 260 or ATI Radeon HD 4870 or betterNVIDIA GeForce GT 330M orATI Radeon HD 4670 or better Note: Be advised that some wireless connections do not meet the minimums required to be a true Broadband Internet connection. Wireless results may vary. From the official site: http://us.battle.net/support/en/article/diablo-iii-system-requirements Not that I'm unemployed or anything but I'm still using a "legacy" PC that is 10 years old! Why? Because I have to "prioritize". For me, the decision matrix is like this: "baby" > "hot and spanking new PC" Guess who wins? Let's see here, in the case of "Baby vs Dad" this is the end result: Baby FTW! A Family That Plays Diablo 2 Together.... So anyway, my kids, wife and I have lately taken a huge liking to the "legacy" isometric non graphic card extensive version Diablo 2. So ya, I do want to buy the Diablo 3 thing, but to buy it, I'd have to buy a new PC too. Sucks right? You are receiving this feed because you subscribed to dannybuntu.com.
