Investing in people is important for all the world's countries and particularly so for young people, who are afterall, any country's greatest asset. Despite the good growth and low debt that Chile has enjoyed in recent years, child poverty in Chile is still very much an issue. There is a section of young peole in Chile who are in need of help that will ensure that their developmental trajectory is raised to lift them out of poverty and negative outcomes. Everyone contributes in their own way to this problem but we were particularly taken with the Voluntarios de la Esperanza when looking for a charity to support.
