Job details: VARIOUS JOBS AT FACULTY OF VOCATIONAL STUDIES KYAMBOGO UNIVERSITY Kyambogo University Agricultural Economics Lecturer (1) Teaching Assistants (1) Animal Science Lecturer (1) Human Nutrition & Home Economics Professor (1) Senior Lecturer (1) Lecturer (3) Art & Industrial Design Professor (1) Senior Lecturer (1) Lecturer (2) Teaching Assistants (2) Person Specifications POST CODE: HRM/48/12 POSITION: PROFESSOR (2 Vacancies) SALARY SCALE: M3 a. Must hold a PhD in a relevant discipline. b. Must have a teaching/research experience of not less than twelve years. c. Must have published at least ten (10) peer reviewed articles in internationally recognized journals or ten (10) book chapters since last promotion OR d. At least three (3) internationally recognized books with a reputable publishing house(s). e. Must have supervised at least 4 Masters or two PhD students to completion f. Must have a good record of community service. g. Should demonstrate competence in supervising and developing other departmental staff. h. Should have good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills. i. Must be a person of high integrity. POST CODE: HRM/50/12 POSITION: SENIOR LECTURER (2 Vacancies) SALARY SCALE: M5 a. Must hold a PhD in relevant discipline. b. Must have teaching experience of at least four (4) years. c. Must have published at least three (3) peer reviewed articles in internationally recognized journals or three (3) book chapters or at least one book published with a reputable publishing house. d. Must hold a Masters degree in a relevant discipline and should be on track to obtain a relevant PhD from a recognized institution. b. Candidates who did not obtain a First Class or Second Class Upper bachelor’s degree must have graduated with PhD. c. Must have teaching or research experience of at least three (3) years in a reputable academic/research institution. (Candidates who have obtained PhD need not have the experience). d. Must have published at least one peer reviewed article in internationally recognized journals or one book chapter. e. Must be proficient in using relevant computer packages. f.
