BMW has unveiled the 2013 F 800 GS. The changes are mostly cosmetic, as the 798 cc parallel twin-cylinder engine continues to produce 83 bhp (63 kW / 85 PS) and 83 Nm (61 lb/ft) of peak torque. 2013 BMW F 800 GS. However, anti-lock brakes now feature as standard equipment, a move that follows BMW’s decision to fit ABS to all 2013 model year bikes as part of its recently-announced ‘Safety 360°’ ethos. Some additional factory options will also be available for the first time. Among these are Electronic Suspension Adjustment, Automatic Stability Control and lowered suspension settings for those wanting a reduced seat height. Perhaps the most visible difference is the redesigned bodywork, which comes in a choice of Cordoba Blue, Kalamata Metallic Matt or Alpine White paintwork. Other tweaks include new cockpit dials, more compact handlebar switch units and a smoked grey finish for the indicators and rear light. Pricing for the 2013 BMW F 800 GS has yet to be announced.
