Management changes at Living and Leisure Australia after Merlin acquisition

(News) Merlin Entertainments announced that it has acquired all the remaining stapled securities of Living and Leisure Australia Group (ASX: LLA) by way of compulsory acquisition. As a result of the acquisition, Ms Julanne Shearer has resigned as a Director of Living and Leisure Australia Limited and Living and Leisure Australia Management Limited, responsible entity of Living and Leisure Australia Trust."LLA would like to thank Ms Shearer for her valuable contribution during her period as a Director of the Group and wish her well in her future endeavours", the official statement read. Also, with effect from Merlin’s acquisition of all the LLA securities, Ms Julanne Shearer, Mr Steve Howes and Mr Colin Armstrong have ceased to be members of the compliance committee of Living and Leisure Australia Management Limited, the responsible entity of Living and Leisure Australia Trust, Merlin announced.Living and Leisure Australia Group (LLA) operate in the leisure industry through Australian Alpine Enterprises Pty Ltd, the Oceanis Group and the Tree Top Walks business. LLA's Oceanis business is one of the world's largest owners and operators of aquariums, by number of customers and volume of displays, including the Melbourne Aquarium, Siam Ocean World in Thailand and the Busan Aquarium in Korea. LLA is also the owner and operator of ski fields at the premier Victorian ski resorts, Hotham and Falls Creek.
