By Corina Pilay Our Indie Pop Vancouver Series Vol. XXIV on Friday, March 30 claimed a brand on my musical soul as the British Ex-Servicemen’s Association housed two remarkable Vancouver bands, Devil in the Wood Shack and this is THE SHOES. It is evident that they are capable of reviving Vancouver’s musical soul. In a city where the music scene is slowing fading out, financial hardship ails our lives and the spectacle prevails over integrity, it is a comfort to know that there are still great bands hidden in the cracks for us to discover.
