Annelotte and friends confront Claudette. The first rule of Queen's Blade is that if there are tentacles present in the episode, they must be used to grope someone. Summary: Annelotte arrives at the throne room and is confronted by Sigui. The two battle to a draw, but Ymir shows up and threatens Luna Luna, Tarnyang and Sainyang who are stuck in the jelly in the small moat around the throne. Mirim, the real Ymir and Eilin arrive to expose the Melona, and Sainyan frees her comrades from the jelly using magic so that Luna Luna can grab Melona with her tentacles. Melona reveals her true form and traps Luna Luna, Tarnyang and Sainyang in jelly once again. Melona then proceeds to go on a villain monologue about how everything is going according to Swamp Witch's plan and even Claudette is not opposing the Swamp Switch. Claudette walks out and charges up her sword, but to Melona's surprise Claudette blows her up first. This is what Melona gets for falling into the villain's monologue trap. Deep within the castle, Leina frees Risty from prison before running off. Claudette states that she will maintain order with power and all who opposes her will be crushed. Luna Luna (now free because Melona got blown up) and Mirim attack Claudette but Claudette bounce them out of the tower. Fortunately, Yuit and Vante fly up just in time they catch Luna Luna and Mirim on the way. Sigui switches sides and attacks Claudette with her fire, but Claudette repels the attack. Claudette then charges up for a power move. Tarnyang and Sainyan try to block the attack with a barrier, but the ensuing explosion destroys the top of the tower. I don't think this screen cap needs any caption. Laila arrives at the palace after learning from Izumi that Maria/Leina had gone to Gainos. Laila finds Ymir and Eilin and they are joined in the stands by mini-Melona to watch the action. Meanwhile, Mirim finds that Tarnyang and Sainyan are not breathing. Sigui jumps in and uses her butt-rub-against-staff holy pose to attempt to revive Tarnyang and Sainyan. Claudette reappears and tosses out some lightning which Mirim tries to block, and the explosion knocks out Sigui and Mirim. Annelotte charges in with her phantom horse and a combined regular/demonic attack, but Claudette defeats her with a swing of her sword. Claudette unleash lightning to finish Annelotte off, but Leina arrive to block the attack. Claudette recognizes Leina, but Leina falls asleep. Claudette hesitates and thinks about striking Leina down, but Annelotte puts herself before Leina. Seemingly struck by the determination in Annelotte's eyes, Claudette retreats and tells Annelotte's group to leave. Tarnyang and Sainyan comes to, and Annelotte's gang leaves the castle and Annelotte tells her gang to get stronger and regroup in three months to start the real rebellion. Having watched the fight, Melona complains about the anti-climactic ending, but then Laila shoots Melona with Holy Milk and takes Melona back the heavens for her report. Claudette: You guys are no fun, I'm going back to sleep. The second rule of Queen's Blade is that if there is Holy Milk around, it must be spilled on someone. Three months later, Annelotte and gang (now including Sigui) meet up in the Calibara tribe's sacred ruins. Vante is used to activate the Great Power statute and the ruins rise up into a fortress to rival the Queen's fortress in Gainos. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That was a somewhat disappointing ending to the series. Melona was right when she was complaining about the anti-climactic ending. Annelotte and friends battle Claudette, but Claudette handily defeats all of them but then decides to let them go for the heck of it. Leina shows up, but then falls asleep. And Claudette isn't really controlled by the Swamp Witch, although I have no idea why she lets Melona and the Swamp Witch do whatever they want either. The highlight of the entire episode was Sigui vigorously rubbing her rear end against her staff for the healing Holy Pose. Holy Poses are always laughably horrible and for a random Queen's Blade episode, that wouldn't be half-bad, but for the finale it was a little weak. I suppose there was plenty of "action", although the quality was nothing to write home about. It was a weak ending that made little sense, but whatever, this is Queen's Blade so it's not supposed to be good anyways. So at the end of this season of the series, Annelotte and friends are going to prepare and start a real rebellion to end Claudette's reign of tyranny, and the upcoming conflict will probably be covered by the next season of Queen's Blade. As for this season of the show... I guess it might have been a slight improvement over the previous two seasons. Annelotte is a little better than Leina by the virtue that Annelotte has never been entirely useless, and Sigui's Holy Poses plus the vibration armor schtick made for a good number of hilariously bad moments. Of course, Rebellion is still bad to awful by general standards, but at least it wasn't boring most of the time. From the feed of A Product of Wasted Time
