Miria, Raki and crew try to awaken Clare from within the blob. That sure took long enough... Clare's last appearance was chapter 105 which was two years ago. Summary: Sid and his men and had retrieved Claymore warrior outfits and swords from the Northern regions for Miria and her crew to wear. Sensing that Cassandra is speeding up, Miria, Raki and the warriors head to the forest to see if they can extract Clare from the blob. Raki recognizes Priscilla sticking out of the blob, and approaches the blob despite Galatea's warnings. Raki puts his hands on the blob and tries to talk to Clare about how he was always searching for her. Suddenly, the blob reacts and stabs Raki with multiple tendrils. The warriors react, but Raki tells them to back off as none of the wounds are too serious and the blob is just examining him. Raki can feel Clare's faint presence within the blob, and the blob retract the tendrils. Raki continues speaking to the blob and tearfully states that he was glad to have met Clare and wants nothing more than to be with her. The blob reacts to Raki's plea and a naked Clare is dumped out into Raki's arms. A large cut appears on Clare's body splitting her right down the middle, and Helen and the other warriors quickly jump in to pinch and seal up the wound. Deneve explains to Raki that all warriors have this cut down the middle of their bodies. The cut down the middle is where Yoma flesh is stuffed so that the subjects can become superhuman. The resulting warriors have advanced healing powers that can reattach or even regrow limbs, but the original wound down the middle doesn't heal by itself and the quick and dirty way to treat the problem is to sewn the wound shut. After the wound is closed, Clare wakes up and wonders why she's naked. Clare is then surprised to see Raki and Raki rushes in to give Clare a hug. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After two years (24 chapters, 2 years!!!), Clare is back, and also Raki and Clare finally have their big reunion. After having Clare being stuck in the blob for so long, her release was rather quick and straight-forward. It's probably due to Raki being a special existence in Clare's life and their connection. I was expecting some difficulty with Clare's revival and Clare appearing just in time to make a big save or something, but at the end of the day I'm glad that our protagonist has finally shown up again. Maybe with Clare back at the helm, Claymore will get better again. The whole attack on the Organization was not terrible, but it certainly wasn't as good as all of the prior events that happened in the series. So all of the hoopla about Clare being "untreated" that Helen and Deneve were worried about was that Clare has the big split down the middle of the body that has to sewn shut. I was expecting something a bit more revulsive than that (like a blob of yoma flesh or worse), but I suppose a giant stitched wound down the middle would be enough for bandits to become completely disinterested in Teresa's body. If that wound doesn't heal by itself as Deneve had explained, then that might be an additional weak spot for the warriors. However, the wound never showed up a problem in any of the previous battles, and warriors are much more likely to die from decapitation or being cut to pieces. Almost forgot, there was also the other "mystery" regarding what Sid retrieved for the warriors. The items turned out to be only Claymore outfits from warriors who were killed during the Northern Campaign. I was hoping for something better. Now that Clare's out of blob, it'll be interesting to see when and how Priscilla gets out. From the feed of A Product of Wasted Time
