Scott Walker is talking a lot less now about his pledge to create 250,000 new jobs

Scott Walker is downplaying his pledge to create 250,000 new private-sector jobs by the end of his term, a review of his official pronouncements suggests.Walker’s office and campaign staff members say he remains committed to this goal, a staple of his campaign and early administration. But as the embattled Republican governor heads into a historic recall election in which jobs will be a central theme, his rhetoric seems to have shifted.“We lowered taxes and made it easier for small businesses to keep and to add jobs like the more than 17,000 new jobs we've added in the first two months of this year alone,” Walker said in a campaign commercial released April 13. “It’s why the unemployment rate, well, it’s the lowest it’s been since 2008.
