Ever since the new Combo van was launched last year, the Opel version has had the option of a 1.4 litre petrol engine, but Vauxhall customers have been restricted to diesel power only. Now that omission has been rectified, with Vauxhall citing demand from UK operators as the reason. Available with the L1H1 and L2H1 bodies, the Euro 5-compliant petrol unit develops 93 bhp (70 kW / 95 PS) and it features a stop-start system as standard. CO2 emissions are 163 g/km, and the short wheelbase model achieves 40.3 mpg (7.0 l/100km) on the combined cycle. Prices have yet to be announced.
