30-year-old US Army 2nd Lieutenant Tobias C. Alexander, from Lawton, Oklahoma, was one of two soldiers killed in Tarin Kowt on 20th May 2012. They died when a bomb exploded beside them. 2Lt Alexander served with the Oklahoma-based 168th Brigade Support Battalion, 214th Fires Brigade. The other soldier killed was Captain Jesse Ozbat.
