Plopsa Park in Belgium welcomes 10 millionth visitor

The lucky guest arrived around 11am in the morning on April 2nd and was greeted by a delegation which included the Group CEO Gert Verhulst and Plopsa boss Steve Van den Kerkhof. They were joined by several park characters.The 10 millionth visitor was in fact one person in a family of four, so the entire group was treated to an extra bit of attention. The family received a Plopsa medal, being crowned Kinghts of Plopsa and were given a large gift basket stuffed with gifts from the park.Plopsaland Parks in Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany attracted a record breaking 2.7 million visitors in 2011. Most popular was the park's 'home' attraction in De Pane which attracted nearly 1.3 million visitors, or up 10% year-on-year, followed by the recently acquired Holiday Park in Germany, with 565,000 visitors counted its numbers rose by 30% compared to 2010. Its two year-round indoor parks in Belgium and Holland clocked up some 605,000 visitors together and Plopsa Coo in the East of Belgium welcomed 370,000 visitors.
