I had to privilege of getting my hands on a copy of the Mass Effect 3 demo a few days early. Unfortunately, my work schedule did not give me any free time to actually play it until yesterday. In case you are somehow unaware, the demo went live for everyone yesterday. I highly suggest you download it and give it a try, even if you never played the first two. To all the Kinect users out there, I think the demo is Kinect compatible. I am going to check tomorrow to be sure. Being that I am not very good at shooters, I was very pleased to learn about the new game play BioWare has implemented with Mass Effect 3. There is a combat mode for people who love 3rd person shooters, a story mode for people (like me) who suck at combat, and an RPG mode for players who love the game just the way it is. All three options are available on the demo, so you have a chance to figure out which mode you like best. When you play through the story demo you get the epic beginning of the game, which is followed by a level later in the game to get a feel for what combat will be like. The Multiplayer looks pretty amazing by the trailer, but I haven't tried that portion of the demo. Obviously it isn't my cup of tea. I will warn those who are interested in Special Forces that you need an Origin account. If you don't already have one, then this is a good opportunity to go ahead and make one. After you try out the demo, I would love for you to come back and share your thoughts. How do you think it will compare to the last two games? Who is better, male of female Shepard?
