That plateau from which many of us lay our scorn, those who admit to it at least, toward that which we find impossible not to at least glimpse at; as we peek into the car wreckage and the celebrity open coffin. Thesis fantastically portrays this in its opening act, in which Angela cannot resist the urge to glance at a suicide victim as he sprawls beneath a train in full public display. This is a reflex that is again displayed when she uncovers a videotape that contains the graphic torture and mutilation of a young ex-student.
