Post contributed by Hilton Miranda I stumbled across www.directstartv.com the other day and made a quick call to switch my cable service to satellite TV. I saved a ton of money, and I have a lot of channels I didn’t get before, including awesome satellite music stations. It’s come in so handy when we’re throwing parties. My husband and I love to entertain, and putting together a playlist for our parties can be a little overwhelming. For starters, you have to make sure none of your embarrassing guilty pleasure songs are going to come on with guests over. That’s uncomfortable for everyone involved. Additionally, you have to be sure that the music is appropriate for the guests you’ve invited. For instance, my mother-in-law is probably not as cool with listening to Lady Gaga as my girlfriends. And no one wants to come over for a Mexican and margaritas themed party to listen to Josh Groban, right? The satellite music channels have made all of this thinking unnecessary. We simply search for the appropriate type of station, turn it on and focus on the more important things—the signature drinks we’ll be serving. Permalink | Leave a comment »
