I decided it's time to get back to our regularly scheduled programming... and with that announcement, I'm excited to introduce you all to our next guest blogger - Jenna of It's Just Called Spicy! You might have checked out her blog already because I've had her button posted as a Blog BFF and I shared her personalized family wall art here too. But now she's back to answer the crafty interview questions AND tomorrow she'll share a recipe for what I'm tentatively calling my favorite food! When and how did you start being crafty? I’ve always just been the crafty, artsy lady for my friends. I just love playing around with crafts, food.. whatever and just experimenting to see what I come up with. And half the time, it works out… the other half, I need to be on craft fail When did you start blogging about your craftiness and why? I started blogging in August 2011. I was engaged to be married, starting grad school and had a little bit of time on my hands. I decided I needed an outlet to share life happening on and just craft. What's your favorite project (of everything you've made)? Well my favorite project… is probably a few different recipes I’ve shared. I have a Mock Starbucks frappucino recipe… so yummy. I like to paint but I haven’t posted any of that… maybe when I have time, I’ll paint something and share it over at the blog! What's your favorite crafty material or medium? Right now, I probably like cooking as my crafty medium just because, being a grad student, I don’t have the time or money to buy crafting materials… but food, I have that! Haha. Hopefully this summer, I can get my crafts on and my shop on at Michaels or JoAnn’s What's the biggest challenge you face(d) in blogging? Right now, I’ve been having a hard time making time to blog because I’m busy. Like I said, in May, I will have a lot more time. I can’t wait! When you don't feel particularly crafty, what do you do to find inspiration? Pinterest. It’s so magical. Oh and my favorite store is Pier1 Imports but gosh, its expensive. I do enjoy looking though! How do you organize your craft supplies? I have 3 stackable drawers that fit everything BARELY… I’m a knitter too so I got yarn and needles shoved in one drawer. How do you organize (remember, find) tutorials and posts online that you like? Pinterest. What's your best tip for new bloggers? Just be yourself! What are some things you're loving right now (crafty or not)? My Iphone – I have the Pinterest app. I’m totally addicted to Draw Free app on iphone.
