Oxygen ThievesFrom: Liverpool, United KingdomScouse glum rockers Oxygen Thieves (not to be confused with Brighton's brilliant Oxygen Thieves or Cape Town's cool The Oxygen Thieves more of whom later this week) are the best Liverpool band since Echo & The Bunnymen. The dark, deep, neo psych of I Sat In On A Freakshow with it's stabs of Sergeantesque guitars and powerful McCulloch like vocals would feel at home on Heaven Up Here. I'm In Love With The Dark is a slow burning epic and Maskara sounds like The Smashing Pumpkins if they'd been born with an accent exceedingly rare.
