1860's heirloom based design

Based on the 1860's heirloom gown I have seen at the Perth Freemantle Jail , at the current exhibition Woman Transported .Pure white silk gown , lined bodice with handbeaded crystal panel decorating the chest has been handstitched into place across the gathered yoke . Fine white guipure lace complements this eye catching design .I'm still in two minds about the matching bonnet for this garment though ....

Just got an email from Gabriel's parents who generously allowed me to share their son's special day with all of you here. Gabriel is wearing an off white silk dupion gown. The parents designed their son's Unisex baptismal gown. The have chosen the heirloom style guipure laces to complement the Unisex gown. The garment has an opening at the back ( with two buttons ) and it made it so easy to hold Gabriel safely and comfortably by all guests .

A couple of months ago I have been asked to make replica's of 110 year old family heirloom gown . The orginal garment was handmade using fine cotton . The family wished for the replica to be in white silk dupion with guipure laces ... I am awaiting the email with photos from the special day . I seem to be running short on time nowdays.
