The new Gilles Tooling clip ons are already mounted on my Trixie. I mounted them but I must to adjust them on the correct angle.   Next thing I want to do it´s mount the fairing bracket with the fairing and see if finally I´ll modify it to fit it some centimeters lower. After I had finished the sketches of the new Gilles Tooling clip ons I modeled them with Solidworks and made the sub-assemblies. On the following screenshots it´s easy to see  the single screw system to hold the fork clamp and secure the bar to them.   This awesome bike it´s a 1987  USA/BoTT race bike powered by a Yamaha Virago XV1000 engine with a custom frame and swing arm (without linkage) built in 6.35mm/0.25 inch. thick alloy plate. Caption the carbs billet made. It seems incredible that this bike is based on a XV100/XV1100Virago.

Because I´ve free time to work on the blog and on my TRX project, from last week I´m doing a lot of things, like design T-shirts, sketch the new clip ons, and I´m updating also my profiles on Grabcad and 3dVia and put in order all the 3D files on my computer. R1 Lower yoke 3d model. I published some time ago the Yamaha R1 top yoke but I forget publish the lower yoke.

The TRX that could be but never was? This Yamaha 750 parallel twin sketch, drawn  in 1988 by Glynn Kerr, this concept was a Supertenere powered proposal of a road twin bike. Like all new parts, now it´s time to sketch the Gilles Tooling GP-Light Clip-ons. When I finish the sketches I´ll model it on Solidworks and add them to the 3d assembly of the whole bike. Also I must to update on the 3d assy the new steering axle, spacer and bushings I made to mount the R6r forks. Once I´ve this done I´ll make the 2d plans with dimensions of all pieces and publish them

The new clip ons for my Trixie arrived, now I´ll sketch and model it on 3D with  Solidworks before mount them. There are a pair of Gilles Tooling GP-light in aluminium 2017-T4, lights ang good finished. Two pieces with only one bolt, same bolt holds the bar and secures the clamp fork, fixed inclination of 6º and only 246 grams.I cant wait to see it mounted!! Here the three clip ons that

Yestarday I was taking a coffee here in L´Eliana and someone park an a Yamaha MT-03 aside my MT-01, of course I took some photos. After extract the steering axle I sketched and modelled the Yamaha R1 (RN04) top yoke on Solidworks.   What worse could happen to pride of a biker that go out with the disk lock on? This is exactly what I did last week and my MT-01 fell down, Fortunately I managed to avoid the bike falls down at once and I've only broken the end cap silencer (Yamaha Part 5YU-14757-02). I just replace the old Metzeler´s on my MT ,I abused a little of the adictive torque of the MT-01 and the rear tyre ends plane like a car tire and I mounted a Michelin Pilot road 2 dual compound at rear and a Michelin  Pilot Power 2CT, dual compound too, at front. I was thinking about mount a pair of  sport tires like Pirelli Diablo´s but I use the MT-01 daily and I want more durability. I
