Profanity
Published on 2009-03-18 09:31:57
It seems that wherever we visit now, whether it be online or off, we are surrounded by people who use profanity to an extent where it's just not acceptable.I often visit the local park when it's a pleasant day. Last time I visited there was a group of males there aged between twelve and sixteen. I couldn't help but overhear the extreme amount of gutter language that was coming from their mouths; it disgusted me. There was also a group of senior citizens in the park at the time who have probably
Designer Clothing

One of my closest friends came to visit last week. While he was here, we visited a small town nearby. Once there, the first place that took his concentration was a clothing shop just a few feet away from where w- e got off the bus a couple of minutes earlier; we went in, looked around for a short while, and while a few items they had to offer attracted his attention, he refused to part with any of his money; simply because: they didn't have brand names.I've never been one for paying the prices f
Social Networking Sites

There seems to be more and more social networking sites popping up as of late.I once had a MySpace account not so long ago, and I deleted it. I recall feeling the need to login into my account each and every day. I had a few friends on the site who I chatted with on a regular basis, but eventually though we slowly started to lose contact and go our separate ways. MySpace, in my opinion: is a a cesspit containing everything that's bad in the world today: narcissism, vulgarity, falseness.Friends
Coffee

After owning a coffee bar for a short while, coffee is something in which I know a reasonable amount about.I've enjoyed many styles of coffee in my time, such as: latte, cappuccino, mocha, macchiato, espresso, americano, cortado, corretto, iced coffee and more. You name it, I've tried it. Out of them all, my favorite would have to be cappuccino with a sprinkle of chocolate/cinnamon on top, because it's simple to make, milky, and the correct way to serve it is warm, not hot.Below, I have listed a
Rome

I once lived in Rome, Italy, and it was the most beautiful place I have ever lived in. From the beautiful architecture such as the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum. The little cafes situated on every corner of every street. And not to mention that the Italian women were a delight to my eyes. Everything was beautiful.I lived there for just on two years, and I'm disappointed to this day that I ever decided to leave. I worked in a four star hotel as a barman for most of the time there and occasiona
A Dear Friend Of Mine Has Passed
Published on 2009-03-16 08:10:13
Earlier, I received a message from a friend's girlfriend. In that message she broke the news to me that my friend had passed away in a car accident. This has upset me more than words can describe and he will forever be in my thoughts.Chris was the type of person who'd be willing to help anyone, and he would never start trouble of any sort. I knew him for only about a year but within that short space of time he helped me out with many things, and would stay up all hours until I got the problem fi
Air Travel
Published on 2009-03-16 08:06:28
Air travel is without doubt my worst fear. I've always had a major fear of it, but up until a year or so ago now that fear was amplified due to the landing gear failing on the aircraft I was traveling on. We were literally inches from the Earth; then the pilot put full power back into his engines and we soared right back up to about fifteen thousand feet. We circled for about half an hour over grass plains (so you can imagine what was going through my head.) We eventually started to descend once
Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all of my readers!I received a few gifts from family and friends; one of them being the book "Historical Headlines", which is truly very interesting. I also received some clothing items.I'm going out for a traditional Spanish Christmas Dinner tonight. It's about eight small courses; accompanied with live music and all sorts of entertainment. It should be a good night.
Moving Home Again
Published on 2009-03-16 07:59:20
Within the next couple of days I will be moving home once again. I won't be emigrating this time though, thankfully. I will be moving about fifteen minutes from my current location. I'm moving for financial reasons, as my business isn't bringing in the revenue I hoped it would. This will be my fourth move. My first move was to Rome, Italy, then back to the UK, then to Spain, and now to another location in Spain. It can be a hassle for many reasons: moving all of my furniture and appliances over,
