How Safe is a Safer Alternative

Published on 2010-07-31 19:53:00

Did you know that phentramine is considered a safer alternative to the diet pill phentermine. But really, how safe is a generic version compared to the real thing? Isn't it all the same? I honestly can't say, but I tend to stay away from diet pills in the first place. If I want to lose weight, I eat right and I get out and walk for exercise. I'm not fond of popping any pills, even for a headache. And vitamins are a big issue with me too for the reason of most contain a binding agent that has a c

Editing The Generation

Published on 2010-07-31 19:44:00

I've been doing some editing of the novel I'm working on, "The Generation." Here's a sample of what I've been editing. The man with the long locks was dangerous, Sara had decided. Definitely dangerous. After the truck’s door had opened, he’d stood up and walked out without a word, and without looking back. Then she watched the guy who’d been by the door follow and the sandy blond who had been watching her sleep, get up and do the same. But then he stopped, turned back, held out his hand tow

Look up the word apidexin and the first thing you'll see is that it's a weight-loss drug. For most of us, that's enough to get us interested in purchasing it to lose weight. But, before you just jump on the bandwagon with the rest of the world, you should stop and consider the real facts about diet pills.Learn everything there is to learn and make sure you get the truth before you put any drug into your body because while some drugs are helpful, others can be harmful. For me, I try not to take an

Tomorrow

Tomorrow I have a long trip ahead of me. I'm taking my oldest son back to Oklahoma for school, which is about a 6 hour trip from me. Then, we'll be heading straight back here which is another 6 hours, and to top it off, I had to work today. Luckily I have the next 3 days off, so I can somewhat relax. I'm hoping during that time frame to be able to work some more on my novel. Joy Smith also known as The Insane Writer, is the author of the Sci-Fi novel, The Generation. You can email her at silent_

Let's Get Real

When it comes to diets that work, they require extremely hard work. I mean seriously, why lie about it. You will never find a diet in a magic pill, or cream or lotion. You must be willing to exercise and eat healthy. And most importantly you've got to be willing to get rid of the processed foods from your life if you want to feel your absolute best. No more junk foods. Of course in reality, most of us are on a budget and always rushing through life. We have no time to slow down and enjoy fresh fo

I think I may be burning myself out. I'm working two jobs, one full and one part time and managing the household on my own as well as anything that needs repaired and done around here. It's a lot, but if I don't get it done, no one else will. I'm pretty much on my own it seems. Sigh Joy Smith also known as The Insane Writer, is the author of the Sci-Fi novel, The Generation. Acid cigars, that's what he wanted. The mall had been packed after work due to the holiday season, but Matt didn't need the mall to do his Christmas shopping. What he wanted required a visit to a special shop, a place that couldn't be found just anywhere. He'd actually had to contact a friend of a friend to find what he needed. And it wasn't just any cigar either. He'd wanted something a person would never forget. and it was the best gift he could ever give his boss. Oh yes, revenge was bitterswee

I'm in a really bad mood and I know partly why, but the rest I have no idea. I'm guessing I went to bed on the wrong side of the bed last night because that's when it all started. I guess I'm just tired of being treated like shit, people not listening and the list could go on and on, but there's not enough room in this post. Enough said. Is It Really Worth It?

When I first bought mt laptop, I was offered extended laptop warranty, but I never considered getting it.Recently however,I discovered that my left shift key is no longer working. It's frustrating because I'm constantly using my left shift key, so I'm having to training myself to use the right one instead. But, what's even more frustrating is the fact that when you buy a warranty, you never use it and when you don't buy one, you end up needing it. Eventually I'll end up doing one of two things, e

I was going to give this to a reader, but I wanted to make absolutely sure that their products are worth the purchase before I offer an opportunity to my readers. Now the only question is, what will I purchase this time from one of

To Allie he was an overweight college slob too horny for his own good who needed a good dose of acne lotion. She wasn’t thrilled with the choice they had made. Something suggested from a neighbor, his aunt just down the street. She was never allowed to choose her own dates or even friends. One of her parents many rules. “More coffee Katie Scott?”Katie turned toward the roboserver and shook her head. “No thank you.”“Very well.” The roboserver acknowledged then moved on to the table behind her. She was such a klutz. This would be the second shirt in less than a week that would end up in the rag pile as a result of her clumsiness. Katie let out a sigh and continued to blot up the coffee on her shirt with a napkin. She couldn’t afford another new shirt. A silly thought ran through her head. Maybe she

I Bought a Garden, Well, Kinda

Published on 2010-07-26 22:35:00

I'm not one for keeping plants alive, but a few months ago I had a wild urge to grow some bell peppers and tomatoes. Well, sadly I must report that two months later the bell pepper plants never made it because one of the kiddos accidentally dumped the pot over and the tomato plants are still sitting on the catch all table still waiting to be planted. I loved the idea of a garden, but just don't have the patience to get it started and a green thumb to keep it going. Joy Smith also known as The In

Small Business Big Problem

I won't name any names, but a while back, one of our favorite business's owners was telling us about their problem with not being able to keep track of receipts since the company they were using wasn't really reliable. Now if you're a business owner then you know how that can be a problem. Receipts are everything because they tell you how much of a profit you're making and spending and are a customer's lifeline when it comes to shopping. So, I'm wondering if our favorite little business knows abo

1292 Emails Behind in Life

People wonder why I rarely play games online. Well, my 1292 emails in my inbox is a big part of the reason why.lol In addition to trying to get all of my emails caught up, I now work a full-time job away from home and still do some reviews for a few companies here and there. Now, that's not counting, cooking, cleaning and repairing the house. So, time is very limited for me and computer games are not included in that time slot. Joy Smith also known as The Insane Writer, is the author of the Sci-

A Different Type of Insurance

Published on 2010-07-14 21:02:00

When my ex-in-laws had their RV, I often wondered if they had to carry some form of 5th wheel insurance.I'm assuming they did if they had a loan to pay for their RV. Otherwise, they wouldn't be able to drive their portable home around. But, it also makes me wonder, what's the difference between auto insurance and 5th wheel? What do they cover that auto insurance doesn't?Maybe anything that goes wrong with the inside of the RV? Or even the outside such as the septic tank? What's your opinion? Do

Owning an RV

Published on 2010-07-14 20:53:00

Years ago when the economy was still stable, my ex-in-laws decided to purchase an RV as their home away from home while they traveled for work.I thought it was pretty cool back then until I learned that a new RV can cost as much as 60 grand! Wow, thank heavens for rv loans, huh?But even with a loan I can imagine it still cost them quite a chunk of money in a form of a monthly payment! But still, I know for them it was well worth the money.

Working on my Novel

Published on 2010-07-14 20:50:00

Last night I was actually able to edit about a page of my novel in around 30 minutes. Not too bad if I say so myself. Now, let's hope I can keep it up every night, although tonight might not happen. I still need a shower before I head to bed. But if I keep going with editing my novel at least every other night, I might actually get it finished before next year! Then, I left my driver's license out in the wide open of my van. Luckily no one took it! And finally, it was hot enough at work today that 10 people in our department alone, dropped from the heat before noon and it's suppose to get even hotter tomorrow! Not to mention when I got home from work, I was told I for

Life's Simple Pleasures

He could barely move and was in enough pain that it was not an easy feat to join the rest of the residents for dinner. However, one thing he enjoyed each and every day was his coffee. It was a simple request, bu
