...aaaand we're on the air!

Published on 2010-01-09 22:34:00

Hey, folks, sorry I've been out of the blogging loop lately, lots of non-political things going on in the humdrum day-to-day existence department. However, I did want to put up a note regarding a new project with my recent Blogtalk co-host, which can be found here:http://www.ustream.tv/channel/the-teddy-fleck-showBear in mind, this was our first show on Ustream, so we had some sound issues (nothing a little knowledge of the mixing board won't cure) and a minor hiccup in the Skype phone connection

Oath Keepers - We need these folks.

I can be a bit behind the curve at times, so I cop to just finding out about Oath Keepers in the last couple of weeks... and in so doing, my faith in the survival of this country has just gotten a much-needed boost.Especially when I found out the Southern Poverty Law Center has it in for the Oath Keepers, likening them to racist militias. Well, t'hell with you, SPLC - it figures your bunch of idiots (who had a hand in the MIAC report earlier this year)would take the side of bully government, Oba

States' rights vs. Drug Worriers

Published on 2009-10-20 19:12:00

First off, let's dispense with this old wives' tale:When conervatives speak of states' rights they do it as a code word for keeping the races separated. Reagan started it in 1980 when he gave a speech at then whites only Bob Jones University. That is as far as they want state rights to go.To those who still cling bitterly to the above ideal of federal vs. state power... knock it off. It was an old and tired argument twenty years ago, let alone twenty minutes. Now, back to the meat of this story:P

Well, fine, Senator...

...keep pushing the GOP further towards oblivion:"I love this party," [Sen. Lindsey Graham] responded. "I'm not going to be let it be hijacked by Ron Paul."Senator, that same Ron Paul is probably the ONLY decent member of the Gang of 535. He has his flaws, to be sure, but at least he's not a tax-and-spend Democrat/tax-cut-and-spend Republican/big-government RepubliCrat.I reluctantly took a Republican ballot in last years' primary, Senator. I made exactly one mark on that ballot - for Ron Paul. I

Thugs vs. protesters

Published on 2009-08-09 21:52:00

Kenneth Gladney, it appears, was attacked by SEIU thugs at a recent St. Louis protest against president Obama's socialism-laden healthcare plan. Here's a comment from a sympathetic (to the administration) MediaMatters commenter: Author by harley (August 08, 2009 10:57 am ET)6 1Teabagging anti-Democracy hicks should be treated like terrorists and combatants captured on the battle field. Gag them, bag them, tranquilize them, arrest them, and toss them in prison indefinitely. Teabagging anti-Democra

Click here for our latest installment of the Show-Me Libertarians program on BlogTalkRadio. We had a catch-all, many-topics episode, with a call-in from Springfield Councilman Doug Burlison, with whom we talked about sensitive issues like the police/fire pension problem, eminent domain, the Henry Louis Gates arrest, and the (unfortunately) misunderstood rescinding of an anti-gay ordinance that has gotten some local handwringers spooked so badly, they probably think they'll be forced to witness g

My compatriot over at Kn@ppster turned me on to Two-Four, and I'm gonna hype said blog(s) with this short-but-sweet posting.Gave me an opportunity to tweak the blogroll, whilst I was at it.Anyway, check out these postings on the Gates-Gate incident, here... and here. And tune in to Reason Online for more analysis on this unfortunate episode in the human tragicomedy genre, and on other stoopidity as it arises - and it will.Site Feed
