On Wednesday, two fashionable events happened at the Beirut Souks as part of Beirut Design Week, the launch of the Zayan pop up store and the lovely gathering by the Mukhi Sisters. I passed by after work with my best friend, and the event was at full swing. Merry-cream, cotton candy, cameras flashing, ladies dolled up, and a Harley Davidson display in the courtyard of the jeweler's souk (which had nothing to do with the actual event, but it added a little edge to it).

Nails of the Week: Dotted Tip

These were my nails before finals and reading period started, all polished and pretty. I used Rimmel's "Black out" as a base, and then Orly's "Basket case" pink for the polka dots. To make a dotting tool, check out my previous polka dot post where I explain in more detail. For this design, I started with making dots on the tip of the finger (think french tip) then made a facing down triangle. It's a super easy manicure, the only tricky part is to get the dots to be the same size ish.

Sneakers, specifically high top sneakers, have gotten a fashionable makeover, and they're one of the must have pieces of summer. A trend which I approve! My absolute favorite is the "Willow" high top pair by Isabel Marant. But at around $760 is currently way out of my budget. So I'm on the look out for an "inspired by" affordable pair.
