Off to the Keys! We drove back down the Tamiami Trail, past Captain Doug’s, and on toward Miami. We stopped at an Indian Village, but it was too early for a tour, and we didn’t want to take another boat ride just right now. We would have loved a cup of coffee, but no such luck – there wouldn’t be coffee until we got to Homestead, where we got some Cuban coffee. We stayed in a place that’s worth talking about; the Lees Ferry Lodge. We already felt comfortable when we came in, but then I notice they had around 100 different beers on display! Their motto is “Come for the view, stay for the fun.” Maggie could also say, “Come for the view, stay for the Condors.” Good food, good beer, good people to talk to, what more could you want? > read more
