Should Van Persie stay at Arsenal?
Published on 2012-05-31 04:45:00
Last year Arsenal lost two of their best midfielders in Nasri and Cesc Fabregas. Throughout this season many people have been whispering "will he or won't he?" with regards to Robin Van Persie staying
What a year for Geoff Shreeves *parody*
Published on 2012-05-29 08:04:00
Greetings everybody, it's Geoff and it has been a wonderful year for me as I have broken the hearts of many football players and managers around the world. Now I've always been a bit of a "party pooper" when it comes to interviews or life in general. I like to remind children, specifically on the day of Christmas that Santa Claus isn't real because it's better they learn from an early age. Sometimes I get strange reactions to my factual assertions. Look at the demeanour of this person when I mer [..]

In recent weeks the humble Cristiano Ronaldo has boasted about being the best player in the world to CNN and has given "himself" a 10/10 for his individual season. Jose Mourinho has said it would be an injustice if his star striker

Samir Nasri Vindicated
Published on 2012-05-13 21:30:00
After Manchester City won the title today in the dying seconds at the Ethiad, Samir Nasri further emphasised that he made the right choice by leaving Arsenal and joining the blue side of Manchester. When Nasri left last year, Arsenal fans were incensed and to a great extent it was understandable. They had just lost their captain and best player in Cesc Fabregas, severely

Thoughts on parking the bus

After getting dominated for two legs Chelsea somehow find themselves as victors over Barcelona in the Semi-Final of the Champions League. I have to say I'm still surprised after Tuesday night's events. It is quite incredible how a team that set out to play such little attacking football ultimately scored more goals than the Catalans....but I've seen it all before. So just how did Chelsea managed this feat? Well, they did what quite a few teams have done to knock Barcelona out of cup

Ronaldo silences the Camp Nou. Yesterday, barring hell freezing over, Real Madrid all but cemented their place as La liga Champions for 2012. They have a 7 point lead with 4 games to go and failing to win the title now is inconceivable.

The Ashley Young incident
Published on 2012-04-16 22:54:00
I'm going to speak on this incident one time and hopefully I don't have to address it again. When I made my "Top 10 divers" list one of my friends asked me "where's Young?" I really had no clue what he was talking about at the time but now everything is adding up. Ashley Young is growing a serious reputation as a diver at Old Trafford and it can't be ignored. Even Sir Alex said his man "played" for the penalty on Sunday. Just when I thought Tevez's golf swing celebration was the most despicable [..]

There's always a danger of having egg on one's face with writing a player off for Manchester United. Every time you think a player may not fulfil his potential, they sometimes end up becoming one of the best in their respective positions. Look at Cristiano and Nani for example. However, sometimes it really does go

Growing up watching football, just like many kids who love the sport, Pele was one of my role models. I saw him as the greatest footballer ever. I was absolutely fascinated with his goal scoring feats and world cup triumphs. I've probably watched every possible available clip of him and I also own his auto-biography which generally depicts him in a good light. Like everybody else the Brazilian has his flaws. Some side thoughts on Real Madrid vs Valencia
Published on 2012-04-09 19:50:00
It was one of the greatest goalless draws I've ever seen in my life. Both teams put on an absolute show when it came to attacking football and showed the world why La Liga is arguably the best in the world right now. I just need to get that out of the way because I'm not really here to talk about that. I just have to say, what was with all the DIVING?! There was enough diving from Real players to secure all the Oscar nominations for the next 10 years. Where do we even begin? OK, Ronaldo: [..]

This match at the Emirates is one Manchester City pretty much NEEDED to win. One which they....well.. didn't. They are now 8 points behind Manchester United who won earlier today at Old Trafford vs QPR and the title race is all but over.
There was a tense atmosphere around the Emirates stadium today as
