Here Comes The Rain Again

Published on 2010-09-01 07:38:00

It is that time of the year where bringing a coat or an umbrella is a must. The weather had been I would say, bipolar – one minute it’s so sunny and then suddenly it becomes a downpour. A bit of rain brings floods to some areas in the Metro. I bet car wash are in hiatus since there wouldn’t be enough reason to come to the car wash centers, have their cars cleaned and then be soaked in the rain. Changing their car’s window visor is a must though. CARiD offers a terrific selection of side

Boyd’s The Wild Trapeze

Published on 2010-07-23 12:19:00

Now this came as a surprise… I sort of freaked out when I read a tweet about Brandon Boyd’s solo album. Yes, Incubus’ front man recently released his SOLO effort, The Wild Trapeze. The question is, is the band breaking up? Hell NO! Everyone’s from the band is enjoying the remaining months of their vacation as they go again in the studio to record a new album. I am downloading the album right now. Will write a review the minute I finished devouring on this new music :)

The Runaways

Published on 2010-07-10 12:45:00

Just finished watching The Runaways. Dakota and Kristen really did one hell of a job playing Cherie Currie and Joan Jett. It was a bit bitin though. One minute the band's all rock and roll, in the middle of their tour, and I am starting to sort of be involved with the characters...and then boom, Cherie suddenly quits and goes back to her old life. I also wished they could've highlighted a bit about the other band mates. The movie is about The Runaways anyways. It's about the band, and not just J

8 Tracks

Published on 2010-07-06 08:35:00

I created an account at 8tracks this morning. I don’t really know what I’m gonna do with it, haha. Sort of created the account out of whim. The website lets you create mix tapes limited to only 8 songs. Tried creating one for my first mix, but I can’t seem to figure out what I wanted to do for my maiden mix. I wanted to do something related with the rainy days, since we’ve been having them these past couple of days. 8 tracks have song databases where one can search almost anything to inc

27/4

Published on 2010-06-30 08:17:00

So I am turning a year older in four days. I am broke, and I still don’t know how to inform my team mates about it. That I will not be able to treat them to lunch. Not this year. I am a bit embarrassed by the thought since every time someone from the group is celebrating his or her birthday, we (including me) would go to some restaurant and celebrate and eat. Maybe that’s the reason I have this fear of people forgetting my birthday since I won’t be doing the usual. Don’t get me wro

Shush

Most of the US TV Series are on hiatus since the start of June. From Glee, Gossip Girl, Smallville, The Big Bang Theory, etc. It has been a habit of mine to end my week watching the latest episodes of these shows. And since they’re all on a long break (long, meaning two to three months before the latest episode airs), I need to find a replacement to fill my weekend habit hole. Well, there’s True Blood which started their new season two weeks ago. Of course, the show is still as awesome as it

Lack Of Updates

Published on 2010-06-17 09:15:00

I almost forgot that this blog exists. The lack of entries is definitely unforgivable. Been very lazy on things. I don’t have anything very interesting to share other than my love for music. That’s the only thing that came to mind. Discovering new artists and their great music had been sort of my catharsis for the past couple of months. I haven’t been updated with what is great with the radio charts these days since I have been downloading and listening to new music. I discovered The Bird

Up Dharma Down in The Beats, Saigon on May 06

Published on 2010-05-03 05:24:00

Up Dharma Down will be playing at Vascos 74/7d Hai Ba Trung in Saigon, Vietnam on May 06. It’s funny how they are named here as a 4-piece live band. I wonder if there are other bands who played in Vietnam that actually do not seem live. How can four people with actual instruments cannot be live? Click on the poster for more details about the gig.

Dashboard Confessional’s Biggest Fan

Published on 2010-05-03 05:13:00

If having all of the albums of an artist or a band who rarely release their album in our country isn’t a sure sign that I am one of their biggest fan, then I don’t know what will. Yes, I do not download my Dashboard Confessional albums; I order and buy them from Nick of the band’s official store. I pay for it using my PayPal account or card and have it delivered here. I always wait for at least 3 weeks or a month before I can my hands to each and every album. But it’s worth the wait

A Hug From Taylor Swift

Published on 2010-04-29 22:40:00

I bumped into an article on Taylor Swift granting two of her fan's wish: to receive a hug from her. It’s amazing how Ryan & Michael went out of their way to make this dream into reality. The mission started January when the two put up a site for it. Then they caught the attention of the singer and challenged them to do some good deeds like helping an old lady cross the street and giving out flowers to bring smile to people. And the two did a great job with the challenge that they got their
