You see, being a blogger sometimes can be challenging, particularly when it comes to ‘collecting’ materials for the blog. Although I can’t claim that I’ve tried many things for the sake of blogging as much as I would like to, I will still do it when I get the chance to even if it means risking and FML-ing my life at times Today, let me tell you about a unique experience of mine to possibly one of the dodgiest places I’ve ever been to in my life. Now, please don’t ask me how I ended

Hooked!

on Little Nyonya!Gosh, why didn't I listen to everyone and watch this drama long long time ago? It's the best Singapore drama I've seen in my whole entire life. So full of drama!Have been doing the drama marathon for the entire weekend and I'm currently at episode 22 now and suspense is definitely at its peak! In fact I was so curious if the main actress will end up marrying the perfect man who's crazy about her or she will be dumb enough to let go of this good opportunity that I spoiled it all

Here's what I learnt from the movie:1) Regardless of your age, you can still pull off an awesome bodywith the help of steroids or well... air brushing technology.2) Life is cheapPeople die like nobody's business in the movie. KABOOM here, KABOOM there, throats slit, bodies blown into pieces, wow.. the population has too many vermins to spare or what...3) Ammunition is even cheaperThough the whole movie is action packed, there were more bombings and crossfires than real fighting it makes you thin

Welcome vs WelcomeD

Published on 2010-08-17 11:00:00

Now this is interesting; the battle between the usage of the words 'welcome' and 'welcomed'.In my previous post, I wrote the sentence'A vacation is DEFINITELY welcomed.'With a D, at the end of the word 'welcome'.Izso pointed out that I was wrong to use D, it should be welcome instead of welcomed. Now this got me thinking, I mean, I've seen a lot of people using the word welcomed. For example 'Feedback is welcomed' so I started a ruckus and make life a living hell by asking people on the usage be

It's been long and hard

Last week probably felt like the longest week ever.I never fail to feel tired at the end of everyday. Everything about me suffered; my body tired due to the lack of sleep, my skin dry from being indoors too much (air cond ma), my mood cranky because I am not getting the amount of exercise I needed and not to mention my social life (but then again it has been for a while now)I counted, 68.5 working hours compared to the normal 45 hours I usually have. Been working at least 20 hours extra every we

Addiction

Published on 2010-08-10 22:11:00

It was less than 24 hours since I last had it. Here I am, sitting in the comfort of my small cubicle, the urge is just too huge to ignore. The more I try to fight it, the worse it gets.It is slowly affecting my whole system. No, what am I saying. It already did. I should have not indulged so much in it in the first place. I guess it is just my nature, once I indulge in something and start to love it so much, I keep doing it. I'll keep doing for as long as I can till I've had enough, bored of it

Miscommunication

I found this joke super funny when my brother and cousin reenacted the whole scene to me but I'm not sure if I can tell (write) it out funny the way it's supposed to be. If you don't understand Hokkien then too bad :pIt was a conversation between my mum (who knows English) and another older generation aunt (who doesn't know much of English). So these two aunties were talking about my mum's planned trip to Singapore this year end when my mum suddenly asked the other aunty quite a ridiculous questi

Love The Way You Lie

Have you ever felt like you could connect to the songs you listen to sometimes?Whether or not it's mere coincidence, the moment you listen carefully to the lyrics, you feel as if it's speaking your mind of what you're going through and what you're feeling at the moment. This song speaks for me.#############################It wasn't physical abuse but verbal abuse, which in my eyes both are the same thing. If there's one thing I can find left in me after the exhaustive row, it is my pride. NO ONE,

*mindless ramblings ahead*I was at dinner with a friend the other day when we touched on the topic about piracy and how it's affecting the economy and society at whole. My friend was telling me that the UN is addressing the piracy issues in Asian countries in a more serious manner now considering how much it's affecting the profit and sales of the originals.I debated that our country is still not 'that' serious when it comes to imitation goods, unlike China, the father of all fakes.Imagine if yo

I knocked softly on the door before making my way into the room. It still looked the same the way I remembered it to be a year ago, when I was last there for my consultation. She looked friendly, and she flashed me a smile before asking'What can I do for you?'I told her the purpose of the visit, brief and straight to the point. She nodded her head and told me the options I have. It didn't take long for me to tell her my decision as it was already made even before I stepped into the room.'The most

Not many people have been there so it was something kinda *grand* haha but now, thanks to cheap flights, one can even fly to HK on weekends just to shop. The one and only thing I truly missed in HK was...no it wasn't really the time spent with the ex, albeit we've had some good times but I pity the poor dude having to keep up with my ent

What is courage?

Well, that got me thinking, what is actually courage? How would you define courage and what is the meaning of courage? Does courage means ….not giving up? Maybe...jumping into a burning house to save someone? Probably...
