tumblr killed the blogger star
Published on 2009-03-04 15:12:00
i doubt i will ever give up this blog, and it is good to have a main page which is stable and more sophisticated and having enough features for long interesting posts.just: it takes up to 30 minutes (or even longer) to post in blogger. and it takes around 3 seconds to post in tumblr. tumblr is fast, fun, easy, open, communicative, creative - awesome. and all the while it looks cool just on it's own, is compatible with each and every browser and operating system, allows any kind of multimedia to
Foods distributed by the World Food Programme
Published on 2009-03-01 01:03:00
This was really interesting, after being redirected from Freerice.com to the homepage of the World Food Programme (http://www.wfp.org) I found a photo gallery containing the actual pictures of the foods being distributed worldwide, with descriptions. Since those are valuable informations helping the charity I am reblogging all here. Copyright of the photos is of course by the WFP."Date Bars: These date-filled biscuits can be used as an energy-providing snack in a variety of situations. They are

The folks behind Freerice.com are constantly improving the system and the games you get to play :D Take a look here: now you can choose between more than a dozen different game options (like for example improve your French or learn more about famous paintings, which are my personal favorites). Absolutely awesome! And there are even more reasons to play those games, with the global economic meltdown, and significantly increased prices for most basic foods, the donations also had to go down from 20
Some fun advertising made in Greece

Video is in Greek, but completely easy to understand even so. This here was posted by Maria from Organically Cooked, so hop over to her blog for more behind the scenes details :D Thank goodness the Greek γιαγιά is tough and clever, so maybe our traditions and good real foods will be kept for future generations - and not replaced by "global" junk food, soft drinks and cheap horrible supermarket fare...And don't forget: do not buy the advertised "Greek salads", go instead to your favorite Gr
Online again? Trial...

it seems there is no easy answer whether online or offline… there are so many possible things which can go wrong, or affect my daily life or hurt my husband… yet it is my most essential way of expressing myself and i feel dead inside and empty when suddenly cut off internet activity *sigh* so this is here a trial… i pray my husband does not disappear leaving a divorce notice tomorrow…please not (((Mr.Pathos)))if you ask yourself “what the hell could go wrong so terribly?”, just some
Offline web 2.0 for uncertain amount of time
Published on 2009-02-12 04:20:00
Right now all I can see is that my husband is upset and sorrowful all the time. And I do not want him to be upset and sorrowful - because of me. He never wants to confine me or imprison me, but seeing his sad and tired face is more than I can stand. So I am offline web 2.0 - I mean posting, or blogging or commenting in any of my accounts - for an completely unpredictable amount of time.I will still visit my favorite pages and read blogs or follow my tumblr updates, just no direct "action" anymor

May have conquered my oatmeal hate?
Published on 2009-02-05 06:40:00
update: this recipe here does not mean that I will from now on start gobbling oat porridge each day :p it is just as a reminder and cheer up for the more tough times, when the pantry gets empty again :)---------------------------------------------------------I better write this down quick, before I forget this ground breaking invention (for me it is!). As I mentioned once, oatmeal is rather my archenemy problem food. Yet, oats have two main good points - insanely cheap and insanely nutritious (a
