Ok so a while back at those Obama Rallies people started making a habit of bringing guns. It was obvious to most libertarians and any halfwit that they were not interested in taking Obama out. But it was to protest the possible infringement of their second amendment rights. Is the Tea Party movement embracing Sarah Palin? Fox news would certainly have us think so. But I have more faith in my libertarian compatriots than that. She is NOT what the movement needs. She is a conservative. And while many libertarians share conservative values, I think most would agree that libertarians are NOT conservatives. Which of course leads us to the obvious question: Is the Tea Party movement libertarian? I'm not so sure. I think it definitely has its roots in the Ron Paul Phenome

Noam Chomsky and the 1st Amendment

I would like to think that Chomsky and I would agree on a lot of things. States are violent things. Corporate controlled states are dangerous. But he takes this to an extreme I wouldn't. It seems he would favor all sorts of speech limitations and other nonsense that would violate the spirit if not the letter of the 1st amendment. I wonder if he realizes that it's not the 'evil' corporations that are the problem. What kind of influence would corporations have if government kept to its limite
