Life still isn't a peach but it isn't half bad either

For the past couple weeks whenever I felt blue, something spectacularly peculiar would happen. This occurred either on my way to school on the bus or on my way home, seriously everyone should go metro lol I saw a man dressed as Spiderman sand the mask one day, a man dressed in drag a few days later, except for converse shoes (comfortable cross-dressers ftw!) oh and then there was the crazy
I have to be awake in 3 hours

But I never could fall asleep before the 1st day of school. I guess it's because of what the first day really represents. I mean, I've been getting an education now for the past 16 years, but it's always the same. I always feel like I can start new. New pencils, new pens, new paper, new people, everything gets refreshed and renewed ...even my sense of self. But then somehow by the end of the year,
I got stoned and lost my house keys...

Which is a key indication that summer's almost over! Where'd I get stoned? Emerald Isle Park. One would think I'd go looking for them there but I don't recall ever taking them out of my pocket. In fact everything that was in my pocket when I left, my iPod, my wallet, my chapstick, they're all still with me, but the keys. Ugh, and did I mention I love getting stoned a parks, there's so much beauty
Beer Me Baby!

Ok so I'm not much of a beer drinker, because well I hate the taste, but unlike hard liquor, the point of drinking beer is for the TASTE. And since I've never been one to shy away from being adventurous and because sometimes there just isn't anything else on hand, I've had the pleasure and displeasure of trying several different kinds of beers and I discovered they weren't all bad, in fact some
Blood & Body Parts

The HBO televison drama True Blood pushes the envelop with what some are calling a raunchy cover for the latest issue Rolling Stone Magazine. However I don't see what all the hub-bub. Aside form the fact that the show has already dubbed "vampire porn" by fans and critics alike, this cover doesn't seem all that scandalous to me. At least not more scandalous than past covers that featured for
Moving Out and Up

Tueday, August 9th in the middle of the night, I moved from Glendale to my dad's house in LA. I didn't want to leave my life behind, but I was fed up with dealing with my insufferable Mum and after the things I said her I'm sure I'm not welcome back. Not that I'm condoning ill-treatment of one's mother, it's just we have a long and sordid history and telling her off was past overdue vindication.
Dinner for Schmucks Looks Like It Sucks

But maybe that's just because I'm not a big Steve Carrell fan. I mean the Office is good but I don't think it's great. And he didn't make me laugh in 40-year-old Virgin or in the remake of Get Smart he stared in. My friend says that's the fault of the writers, but I've seen many comedic actors do better with much worse ie: Mike Myers in Love Guru and Jim Carey in The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.

The controversial issue of same-sex marriage was finally settled today (at least in California) with a resounding yes. Yes to what countries like Canada, Argentina, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Spain have already recognized, legal marriage for gays and lesbians. California now joins Connecticut, Washington DC, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont as one of the only states to recognize
Spotlight: Florence + The Machine

I heard this song and fell in love. It's as simple as that :) Can you blame me? Florence's stellar voice combined with that extremely addictive tempo and beat and brilliant lyrics like "I never wanted anything from you, except all you had and what was left after that too," I had no choice! A few of my other favorites from F+M: "You've Got the Love" and "Kiss with a Fist." Check them out,
UO's Big Uh-Oh!

Everyone's talking about the "Eat Less" t-shirt Urban Outfitters is selling and I just read on my friend's fashion blog (link) that actress Sophia Bush of One Tree Hill is getting involved. Bush, by publicly condemned UO in an open letter on her blog and announced that she will boycott the store. Personally, I can't believe UO would do such a thing. I like shopping there because they push the
